What a Magnetic Glow! The New MAC Magnetic Nude Extra Dimension Skinfinishes in Magnetic Appeal, Superb and Fairly Precious - Makeup and Beauty Blog

My glow in these pics is not due to a recent and sudden increase in cardiovascular activity, the sprinkling of fairy dust or a new skin foam made with firefly particles.

Information technology's actually due to the new MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinishes from the Magnetic Nude collection.

In short, I call up these highlighters are fabulous. Just really beautiful, flattering rose gold and corking gold shades that don't expect stark or harsh on the skin (which can happen sometimes with metal highlighters).

Like the Extra Dimension Centre Shadows and Blushes, these easy-to-blend Skinfinishes take a hybrid cream, powder and liquid formula. They last all day long (10+ hours on me), and should work well for merely about everyone, from makeup beginners to pros, and gals/guys of all ages.

Unless you're piling on the layers, the three colors announced similar, with the differences amongst them rather subtle. Yous should be fine with any one of them. No need to collect all three unless you're really, really into fine makeup nuances and/or well on your style to condign a spokesperson for Makeup Hoarders Anonymous, in which case…I'chiliad correct there with ya, holmes!

Anywho. I apply a face brush with a tapered tip to apply Superb, Magnetic Appeal and Adequately Precious to my upper cheekbones, and unless y'all're hanging out with hardcore makeup people, or you're married to a makeup creative person (Go You lot!), chances are casual observers won't be able to tell them apart, either in pics or existent life.

Not that they await exactly the same… I recall there are small differences — differences that I tin definitely encounter when I look closely at them, like how the powders sit down on my skin, but in general, they're quite alike.

Soft peachy nude Superb'southward powder grains are slightly larger than the grains in Adequately Precious and Magnetic Entreatment, making its shimmer slightly more obvious. If you like highlighters with a dramatic mirror-like smoothen (MAC Soft and Gentle comes to listen), you might want to give Superb a try.

Of the 3, medium gilded tan Magnetic Appeal is the darkest (although, again, the difference is subtle), so if you lot're an NC 40 or darker, that's probably the one you'll want, as Fairly Precious and Superb could go slightly ashy.

Really, though, I don't remember you can't get incorrect with whatsoever of these. I similar them all — the highlighting result is noticeable, only not stark, so I get a lovely candlelit glow that doesn't call attention to the neighborhood thugs…aka "my pores."

If you lot're sure you tin can tell them apart and appreciate the nuances among them, then I'd suggest Superb if you lot like flashy, loftier-shine highlights; Magnetic appeal if you're a darker diva; and Fairly Precious if you desire an all-purpose highlighter to wear with peach and coral blushes.

Allegedly shopping for others…

Guess who was at the mall last nighttime for final-infinitesimal shopping?

Allegedly, I went looking for sweaters for someone else, and I mostly did, merely I also snapped pics of things I may/may not go dorsum for after Christmas.

Like this fuzzy sweater with hearts by Robbi & Nikki at Nordstrom. I don't know if I'd ever clothing it…but I like that it reminds me of The Muppets.

Information technology's time to play the music!

And, obvs, the leopard spots on the shoulders of this button-up sweater past Search for Sanity (also at Nordie'southward) say "meow" to my inner cat lady.

Meow-za

I didn't terminate up finding the right sweater at Nordies, but I did detect these boots for myself: the Sam Edelman Darwin Boots, which were (magic words!) on auction.

Sweetness! Merry early Christmas to me. 🙂
